Photos of the events will be uploaded soon.  Also, though New Harmonies has traveled on to Conway, South Carolina, we still want you to GET INTO GAFFNEY.  Two of our companion exhibits continue to be on display.  The History of the Banjo exhibit is open at the Gaffney City Hall through Thursday, June 9th and the Folk Instrument and Noisemakers by Andy Cox is open at the Gaffney Visitors Center and Art Gallery. Admission is FREE to both exhibits!

LOCAL RESIDENT ENTERTAINS YOUNG CROWD:

Andy Cox, local resident and retired professor of Limestone College, demonstrates homemade instruments on display in the Folk Instrument and Noisemakers exhibit.  This companion exhibit remain on display at the Gaffney Visitors Center and Art Gallery through May 29th as part of Gaffney's celebration roots music.  Mr. Cox entertained more than 100 visitors on Tuesday this week during their visit to the Smithsonian Institution's traveling exhibit: New Harmonies: Celebrating American Roots Music.  To schedule group tours or to find out how you can Get Into Gaffney, please contact the Visitors Center at 864-487-6244 or ourtown@getintogaffney.com.
